Find a Show:
Lollipop knife Film
The main character is pursued by 4 assassins. One of them is introduced as often dressing as a teenager to lure her target. There is a scene where she is on the bed of a man and use her lollipop to stab him. Another scene has the main character trying to steal data from a computer when a security guard or policewoman finds him. To distracter her, he have intercourse with her near the data center.
Class isekai goes home Anime
I'm trying to find a manga where a class gets isekaied then comes back home at the exact time they left. They all remember besides one guy who sacrificed himself to save them all. And i think it just becomes a nice slice of life high school where they all try to befirend the guy that died.
Animal mask riot game Videogame
I remember watching a video long ago that was about this game involving a riot crowd fighting against robots (I think), and there were animal masks in it, anybody have any idea what that may be?
A 3D animated show like Avatar Anime
Trying to find a not so old 3D animated show (I'm quite positive it was a mini-series but I am not sure :/) where the protagonist is a young boy having some kind of blue markings on his face, who goes around to learn to fight and other variety of skills from different senseis and has some kind of a weapon emitting blue light. The time period in the show is ancient and the show is most probably an anime but it's 3D animated somewhat like Pixar movies. The characters in the show are hybrids of humans and animals and I distinctly remember an Ox/bull-like character who was either a sensei or the antagonist. This is all I can remember and I've been trying to find it for 2 days now but I just can't seem to do it. I am so mad at myself because I loved that show growing up and now I can't even remember the name.
Song genre?
Not sure if this is the right place to post this question, so apologies if there is another thread for this. Please, can somebody help me identify the genre of the following two songs? They are both by a rather popular Japanese DJ, who specializes in about 10 different music genres according to Google. Thanks in advance!
Christopher Film
I recall the name being Christopher, but I looked it up and nothing came up. It’s an animated movie about a kangaroo that gets kidnapped by an eagle, dropped into a supermarket, gets raised by two mammals of some kind, and then has a bittersweet ending where he reunites with his family when he’s an adult.
Dinosaur hunting Videogame
Dinosaur Hunting has Tyrannosaurus with a feather mohawk. Surprisingly, in this game they are mere mooks (although one is a mini-boss), and easy to bring down if you have the right formula. Later near the end, two T. rex corpses were found, torn to pieces by an unknown gigantic predator. Implied to be a giant mutated ceratosaur who the final boss, which also kills a Spinosaurus. I was trying to find any video that showed this ceratosaurus but couldn't find the game or had any clue where to see it so long as its legitmate and legal.
Edited by oneforneutralpeaceChristian music TV show with a group of animated monster characters Western Animation
I remember years back I was flipping through channels and I stumbled across a Christian TV network playing this strange cartoon that starred these monster or ogre-like characters. I remember that, when I tuned in, a segment was ending, and the final joke of that segment was that one of them brought a bag of marshmallows, except it had some funny pun-based name (IIRC it might have been "smarshmallows"). In between the segments was live-action CCM music videos.
Does anybody might know what I am talking about?
Trying to find a specific childhood book Literature
One of the many children's books I used to have and read as a kid was one where the main character is a shaggy dog. I can recall scenes from the book such as the dog rolling down a hill and getting dizzy, as well as one where the dog eats sausages with a napkin wrapped around his neck, but I can't remember the name of the book nor the dog character. The book, if I recall correctly, was published by Scholastic.
Couple move into mansion looking for hidden money Live Action TV
I think it was a serialized series, kinda like "Amazing Stories" with the twist ending. Set in the 1800's, a young couple move into a mansion owned by a grumpy old man after hearing rumours about him hiding his fortune somewhere on the property - buried in the fields. They take jobs as maid and butler and while working, search away. Unsuccessful, the husband devises a plan for his wife to become "cozy" with the old, ugly man, against her wishes. At first, she is disgusted, but after a while she begins to enjoy it and slowly starts to pull away from her husband and get closer to the old man. I think her and the old man then decide to leave, leaving the husband all alone. The last scene is him digging in the field, with the background showing numerous holes dug.
YA horror novel Literature
A group of teenagers and I think a horror writer go to a haunted house and take turns telling each other spooky stories, each of which take up a chapter of the book. At the end, one of the kids dies and another has their hair turn white from the trauma. I think some of the stories were the classic "babysitter gets a mysterious phone call" and "man with hook hand" urban legends.
Short historical fantasy story with a larval phoenix preserved in amber (solved) Literature
I ran across this story years ago on what I think was an online speculative fiction zine - I clearly remember the short story Wikihistory on the same site, but that hasn't exactly helped me find it again (it's all over the internet now). :P
- The protagonist is an archetypal Loveable Rogue, and one of a number of immortals wandering the earth, who rejuvenate themselves by draining prehistoric magic from insects encased in amber.
- The protagonist magically contracts Wolbachia from the insect he last used, begins slowly turning into a woman, and sets out to try to find a cure. (Among his contacts are another immortal who was previously infected but has long since accepted her transformation.)
- He uncovers an artefact in the possession of another immortal - a larval phoenix, in the form of the maggot which first hatches from the phoenix egg and consumes its parent's body, encased in amber yet still slightly alive, which has a dangerous amount of magic which should be able to restore him if properly used.
- (I think the lost panels from the Amber Room are mentioned too?)
- Ultimately the protagonist realises an alternative plan and embraces her new form and identity, instead seizing the opportunity to steal the phoenix from its current owner and reincarnate it.
Old CGI Cartoon About Robots that turn into diving gear. Western Animation
This is driving me crazy and i am starting to think i imagined this one. But it's an old CGI Cartoon where a bunch of kids explore the ocean by having pet robots turn into diving gear, which also gives them super weapons to fight against some evil guy with a punk hair cut.
It's also a big adventure with continuity and quasi-constant progression, The characters were: a cocky boy who could shoot cyclones from his chest, a reasonable that had some stun powers, her little brother who has submarine that he later turns into a robot, and a wannabe reporter girl that's never part of the action.
I remember watching it in french on teletoon, i can't pin point the year since i was really young.
Pretty sure it had at least two seasons, with the second one introducing an incompétent pirate.
Animated Paranormal Investigation Show? Anime
It was a case of the week type of show, with a small team. I remember the plot of two episodes
One episode had a actress who thought she was haunted but was being stalked by her assistant.
Another had a secret abortion clinic in a mall basement, and the ghosts of the fetuses were attacking the (usually teen) parents.
I can't find anything on this
itch.io visual novel Videogame
It was about purchasing an android and you would either romance it(?) or treat it as your child, everything was shown as a diorama and in the ending i got it was revealed that the entire story's framing device was that of a diorama presentation your android kid was giving in class. i think there was something about civil rights for the androids in the story too.
it was hosted on itch.io or gamejolt i don't remember which
Edited by masterpenguYoutube series about bunch of people trapped in rooms Web Original
I remember this series through a You Tube video on it, but I've forgotten the title of both the video and the series. So basically, it was a bunch of people, trapped in different rooms with different activities in there as a part of a reality show, or social experiment or something. One of the characters had access to a phone that could communicate with different rooms, but only one at a time and with the light on the phone line being lit up. The guy keeps communicating with the different rooms, until he reaches one where the item in that room...was a noose. I don't remember either the original series or the video I learned about it from, but if you have the identity of either, it is much appreciated.
Anti-Modern Anthology on Netflix Film
I saw this before I even knew Black Mirror existed, maybe 2008-2012? I believe it was on Netflix. It has a similar but different tone to Black Mirror. Instead of "spooky technology" the show seems to be critical of Capitalism, or at least modern work/life balance, society, and consumerism. I will attempt to recall two episodes that are fuzzy in my memory.
1st episode I remember is more vague. There is someone working on a floor, lets say floor 43 for the sake of it. Floors look upon the higher floors with respect, while demoting to a lower floor is seen as a disgrace and causes some individuals to commit suicide. The whole episode seems to have a narrative that develops around an intercom announcing promotions/demotions/and general announcements, as well as people from various floors coming to speak to the main character. I don't think the show ever explains what these people actually do for an occupation, other than trying to advance to the next floor and avoid being demoted.
The other episode is more clear in my mind. It revolves around a husband and wife who live in the suburbs in a very large house. The husband and wife live a very mundane consumer-culture lifestyle. The wife watches a show which advertises products that she always must buy and participate in. The show is a sort of read-along of a book which is supposed to be a recipe for happiness. The husband seems discontent with this lifestyle. After awhile, a family member/acquaintance of some sort needs to stay at their place, and this family member is a free spirit. He gradually, day by day, transforms their yard into a carnival of sorts. At the beginning of the episode, the family member is just playing basketball, or using a trampoline. But I seem to remember as it goes on and on he gets more and more things/people and it's like a carnival of entertainment. The husband seems to tolerate it only because he is envious of that lifestyle.
Eventually there is a breakdown in the episode where the wife's show about the book of happiness ends and the host of the show thinks the book ending is terrible, because the final message is anti-consumerist. The host begins screaming and crying with rage and discontent and so the wife follows along and is the same way. This causes the husband to break and he eventually leaves this life behind and tries to be more free-spirited.
I really hope I have provided enough detail as I'd love to watch it again since I have been getting into various anthologies such as Electric Dreams, Inside No. 9, and others.
Episode about Giant Bees Western Animation
Animated in the similar way as Ben 10 or TMNT, early 2000s. A group of investigators, might've been teens, try to solve the disappearances of people in a high school. Giant bees are abducting people and putting them in honey cocoons in the ceiling over the gymnasium. It's the only episode of this show I've seen.
I played a Timon and Pumbaa game on an airplane ride Videogame
As in, this game was available in the built-in screen on the back of the seat in front of mine, and there was likely a remote control of sorts to control it, there are films, games and other sorts of entertainment on it. I forget what airline this was, but in years I'd estimate 2008 - 2014? (That's about the time I was flying most often anyway.)
This game features Timon and Pumbaa, where you control the latter to move left and right on the ground as objects (mostly food) falls from the trees above (I believe it was Timon that was shaking the trees to do this?). One inedible object (that would knock out or weaken Pumbaa for a bit if it hits him) was a wooden sink of all things.
One prominent game mechanic made use of Pumbaa's farts. I forget if it's a charged ability that requires hold and release or a meter that accumulates the more he eats, but sending green fart clouds upwards can knock out bugs that would otherwise hurt him when they fall. Bigger fart cloud = wider knockout area.
