Hello, dear people. How are you?
I'm a nerdy introvert who loves analyzing media, which is one of the reasons I joined TV Tropes.
You probably won't see me on the forums very often; I don't spend much time there.
I'll add more stuff to these folders later.

Works and creators I like
Favorite tropes and things
- Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick
- Dating Catwoman
- Foe Yay Shipping: See above.
- Gallows Humor: When done right, I love this sort of thing.
- Ironic Hell
- Played for Horror: Give me that sweet, sweet Nightmare Fuel.
- Splash of Color
- Subverted Innocence: I've had some things I was taught were safe and trustworthy turn out not to be. So these sort of tropes work for me when done well.
- Sugary Malice
- Video Game Caring Potential
- Villain Song
Unfavorite tropes and things
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: I normally like most Foe Yay related stuff, but not this. Most examples I can think of don't really explore what it's like to love someone who gets under your skin; they just use it as a cliché starting point to a romance.
- Bury Your Gays: Because even though people have talked about the problems with this trope for years, I still see it pop up in recent works.
- Depraved Bisexual: This one would bother me less if several examples that come to mind weren't the only canonically bi characters in their works.
- Film Fic: I'd rather just rewatch the original movie.
- Girl on Girl Is Hot: Carries the implication that sapphic sexuality exists mainly as a fetish for dudes, or that f/f relationships don't "count" the way relationships with men would.
- Have I Mentioned I Am Heterosexual Today?: I will accept it if it's making fun of straight people who feel the need to go "no homo". But if it's something like "everybody thinks this straight guy is gay, isn't that hilarious", then no.
- Insane Equals Violent
- Not Wanting Kids Is Weird
- Not What It Looks Like: This and Out-of-Context Eavesdropping are such overused ways of creating fictional relationship drama that I prefer when this isn't a source of conflict.
- Old People are Nonsexual: People who are the same age as your parents/grandparents can still have and enjoy sex. Get over it.
- Scandal Gate: It's overused.
- Strangled by the Red String: If you want me to buy that your characters are in love, don't expect me to believe it happened overnight. And especially don't rush it while telling me how in love they are.
