How's it hanging, fellow tropers? I'm Tom, I go by Avenuewriter in most digital realms. I'm a writer, filmmaker, critic and lover of all things covered in cheese. Naturally, I'm a big TV Tropes nerd and I love everything that has to do with fiction.
You can follow me on twitter if you wish. Also feel free to check out my youtube channel The Nerd Relay. Feel free to shoot me a message any time you want.
I'm currently the moderator for the Play-by-Post game Stargate Destiny.
I'm also the maintainer of the Destiny parody blog Musings Of A Warlock. Though it is currently on an indefinite hiatus.

This user exhibits the following tropes.
- Ascended Fanboy: Loves reading reviews on most forms of media, also writes reviews on most forms of media.

- Nightmare Fetishist: To the point that many people know what cards are his when playing Cards Against Humanity.
- Perpetual Frowner: The question he's constantly asked: "Are you mad about something?"
- The Anti-Nihilist: After going through a year where his worst nightmares came true his cynical nature has shifted slightly towards a very loose variation of this trope. He doesn't necessarily believe "life is pointless so why not be nice?" but rather "life is pointless, so why not try to enjoy oneself more?"
- The Eeyore: Suffers from depression on occasion. He's getting better.
- The Movie Buff: Often makes references to films throughout the day.

Some of my favorite works of fiction.

- The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy: My favorite series of novels.
- Rick And Morty: My new found favorite Western Animation series.
- Trigun: My favorite anime/manga.
- Breaking Bad: No surprise this was my favorite TV show until...
- Better Call Saul: Saul's just more likable as a character, plus I identify with him more than Walter.
- The Empire Strikes Back: Natch...
- The Dark Knight Saga: I'm a fan of Christopher Nolan anyways, but his Batman films are interstellar.
- The Walking Dead: Love Telltale's games in general, but TWD takes the cake.
- Dayof The Tentacle: I'm a fan of point and click adventure games in general, particularly the old Lucasarts games, but Do TT was the first and best for me.
- Neon Genesis Evangelion: It took me years to finally see this series all the way through, plus the rebuild films. It speaks to me for obvious reasons.
- Fallout: New Vegas: I love the Fallout games from 3 to 4, but New Vegas is my favorite of them all.
- Outlaw Star: I grew up watching this show as a kid on Toonami, it was THE show I'd watch after getting home from school.
- Yor The Hunter From The Future: I'm a B-movie buff, and Yor is the king of B movies in my opinion.
- Sharknado: I love me a so-bad-it's-good killer shark movie, and this series always entertains me.
- Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia: This show and I have eerily similar senses of humor.
- Black Books: Probably the epitome of British humor at its best.
- Red Dwarf: Practically grew up watching the show.
My Favorite Tropes
- Break Out the Museum Piece: I think there's nothing more epic than having to get the old stuff out of mothballs to kick some ass. In particular, I like it when it's a space ship. I enjoy the contrasting looks of Used Future and Shiny-Looking Spaceships.
- Comedic Sociopathy
- Cosmic Horror Story: Natch.
- Strangled by the Red String: The mental image of Cupid strangling a couple in an alley tickles my funny bone.
- Used Future: Give me steel gratings and greebles over iPod sleek every time!
- Wrench Wench: If men don't find you pretty, they should find you pretty good at fixing starships.
