Hey, my name is AshSpin. I'm NOT named after the Pokémon protagonist (though he's one of my favorite characters aside from Team Rocket), my name actually comes from Ashley Spinelli of Recess.
So let's get that out of the way: I'm a huge Recess fan. Ever since I first saw it as a kid, I've been hooked. I own the Mc Donalds toys. I have the movie poster and it's other movie theater advertising acessories. I have the press release to the movie. I have "The Great Jungle Gym Standoff" book. I have all four DV Ds. See? Fan.
Not that Recess is the only show I like! I love Sailor Moon, Ojamajo Doremi, Doug, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Phineas And Ferb, Lucky Star, Haruhi Suzumiya, Azumanga Daioh, My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic, Rockos Modern Life, Rugrats, and a whole lot more. I also enjoy almost all things Disney (The Disney Channel...not so much, and two of the movies in the animated canon suck), and I love playing the Pokemon games and watching the first season of the anime.
Other things if you need to know: I have Aspergers Syndrome, I collect Disney videos from the 1990s and Sailor Moon merchandise (most of it mint in the box), and I love cats.
But if you love Recess like me, then please join my forum,Third Street School. And if you love Doug, then please join my other forum, 21 Jumbo Street.
Tropes that apply to AshSpin are:
- Adorkable: According to my friends.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Don't get me in a bad mood. It's not pretty.
- Brutal Honesty
- Daddy's Girl: Very close to my dad.
- Dandere
- Deadpan Snarker: In spades.
- Defrosting Ice Queen: Around people I like
- Emotionless Girl: At school.
- Face Palm: One of my default reactions
- Friend to All Living Things: I love animals
- Generation Xerox: I look very similar to my dad, except I'm female and blonde.
- Good Feels Good: I feel great when I do something nice for someone.
- Grumpy Bear: At least in my family.
- Hair of Gold
- Innocent Blue Eyes
- Intelligence Equals Isolation: At school. I care more about acedemics than social situations there. So I'm usually alienated...that's okay!
- Knight in Sour Armor
- Like Father, Like Daughter
- Meganekko
- Mood-Swinger: Sometimes
- Nervous Wreck: During exam week
- Nice Girl
- Old Shame: EVERYTHING in middle school. That is all.
- Poster-Gallery Bedroom
- Proud to Be a Geek
- Shrinking Violet: Sometimes
- The Snark Knight: And due to being a snarky teenage girl with glasses...dye my hair brown and see who you get out of it.
- The Stoic: Sometimes. Mainly at school when I'm not around my friends.
- Surrounded by Idiots: Sure am. Pretty much everyone at my school act like animals during class, and all the girls are obsessed with material possessions and think Justin Bieber is God.
- Sweet Tooth
- Tsundere: Type B
- Verbal Tic: I have a habit of saying, "Really really". Such as, "I'm really really tired" or "I really really want this!"
- When She Smiles: I've gotten this response from my peers. I often appear emotionless in the classroom. Once I'm having lunch with my friends (Who don't share the same classes as me) and I'm smiling, some people even say that I should smile more often.
